I was notified today that my painting "cliff" has been selected to be exhibited among the 20 finalists, out of 148 entries, at the Global Art League 2015 exhibition at the Montreal Art Centre. Twenty pieces have been picked by judges to be exhibited in the Le Canal Gallery for the exhibition which runs from the 4th - 16th September 2015.

 "cliff", 2014

For more about this painting as well as my two other submissions please visit my page on The Global Art League http://www.globalartleague.com/elspeth-penfold.html

I am also delighted to be one of the thirty artists selected by a juried entry and organised by curator Stephanie Sinclair to paint  in Norwich at the Wells Next the Sea Paint Out event in September.
For more about this event please check out http://www.paintoutnorwich.org/wells-next-the-sea/ I have never visited this part of the country but have it on good authority that it is stunning.

Looks like a busy September!

  1. Que buenas noticias! Well done Billie and keep up the inspiring/inspired work. Wells next the Sea beckons and sure you will enjoy the Norfolk coast line and its sandy beaches, though the sea may be a tad colder than the Med - Still guess you and Adrian are seasoned swimmers of the English waters what with your Cornish and Whitstable pedigree.
Have a great time in Greece
    Love and best wishes
