Keeping you informed about Park 10
My current practice concentrates on the juxtaposition of materials both through painting and installations. My piece for Park 10 considers the use of plants and plastics and how planting has become dependent on plastic.I intend to create an intervention in the park which references the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and which will evolve during the course of the exhibition.I shall be posting photos of the site over the coming week and will be filming the event over the three days at Cannizaro which will then be uploaded onto my blog. Keep checking this site for images.

These paintings continue with abstracting images from photographs, but the shapes have become less important as I consider the compositional relationship between the materials I am using.
The Collage images include the original photographs of the objects and images from magazines and printed material from books which have been chosen because of subject matter which refers to the original structure, a colour reference or line or the quality of paper which become integrated within the painting.
These are some of the paintings I have been working on since November. The images are from photographs I have taken in Whitstable and Seasalter of barriers or structures which have decayed and become a part of the space which they were originally imposed on. My drawings abstract the phtographed images to geometric objects which then become the compositional elements for my painting. These paintings are made from collage and oil paint on stertched canvas (71 cms x 61 cms)
